The National Sunflower Association (NSA)
Larry Kleingartner is the executive director of the National Sunflower Association (NSA) for the last 25 years. Larry has a great deal of experience in marketing as well as knowledge of the sunflower industry. He is very pleased that the sunflower plant has been selected to be the international symbol of this movement to remove the stigma of depression.
Larry is involved in market development, production and utilization research and legislative issues. He has a BA from Jamestown College and a MA from the University of Hawaii. He gained broad identification with the sunflower industry in the United States and abroad working with a wide variety of individuals and corporations. He has also served as a Peace Volunteer in India. He and his wife Nancy have three daughters and three grand daughters.
